Estate Plan Refresh

If your Estate Planning was done by a different attorney, head to Estate Planning.

If Marina created your Estate Planning and your life has changed — new family members, a death, a divorce, a move, significant new assets, or just passing of time — it’s probably time to take another look.

Thank you for coming back. Returning clients are the backbone of this practice, and Marina genuinely appreciates your trust.

What’s actually involved in an update?

  • Marina already knows how to work with you — no free initial consultation, shorter intake, faster start.
  • Depending on what’s changed in your life and in California law, Marina may decide that it’s in your best interests to generate all or most of your documents from scratch. This is real legal work — but it’s the right way to make sure your plan actually reflects your current situation.
  • The drafting, review, and signing are all still part of the process — same steps as a new plan, just a little bit faster.
  • Marina does her best to discount from today’s new-client rate. She’ll give you a clear quote after the triage call — no surprises.

We have worked with Marina for our Family Trust, Wills, DPAs & Healthcare directives since 2013, and recently went through a restatement to make updates — which should be done as major life events occur. The entire process went seamless and took about a week to complete. Marina is a total pro and very easy to work with — highly recommend her services.

How It Works

•  Book a 30-minute triage call using the returning-client link below. There’s a reduced fee for this call. In 30 minutes, Marina will understand what’s changed and give you an accurate picture of what’s involved — and whether you actually need anything at all.

•  If you need an update: Marina quotes you, you decide, and the process begins. Homework, drafting, review, signing.

•  If you don’t need anything: the triage call is all you pay for, you leave with peace of mind, and talk again some years down the road when you think something else needs changing. This happens more often than you’d think.

What might have changed since your last plan

•  Marriage or divorce

•  Birth or adoption of a child or grandchild

•  Death of a named trustee, executor, or beneficiary

•  Major change in assets — new home, retirement, sale of a business

•  California and Federal law changes —updated probate thresholds, estate tax exemption changes, new language for your digital assets

•  Your plan is more than five years old and has never been reviewed

Marina helped us to update our trust and wills. She was so professional, knowledgeable and thorough. She kept us focused on the tasks at hand, and every document was signed, sealed and delivered in a very timely manner.

A common question: Can’t I just email Marina to tell her what I need?

You’re always welcome to reach out. But in Marina’s experience, email almost never gives her enough to assess the scope of work accurately — and it usually takes longer for both of you. The 30-minute triage call is designed to be efficient: you get a real answer fast, Marina gets what she needs to give you an honest quote.
